Shellbound is live!
I am excited to share a project I have been working on: a brand-new, custom game launcher designed specifically for Turtle WoW! This launcher was built entirely for educational purposes to explore game client management, patch distribution, and app development. Along with the launcher, I am hosting a completely private, locally run Turtle WoW 1.18 server for testing and development.
š Key Launcher Features
- One-click install & patching ā the launcher downloads the full Turtle WoW client (resumable, SHA-256 verified), applies incremental patch sets, and keeps your client updated automatically.
- Built-in news & addon manager ā a live news feed for project updates, plus an addon panel to search, install, and update addons.
- Cross-platform & self-updating ā native Windows and Linux builds; the launcher checks a CDN manifest for new releases, verifies the checksum, and updates itself.
